Ms. Dawn Bates is recognized by the International Academy of Science for her contributions to Acellus® courses in Grade 8 Language Arts/Reading Plus. Ms. Bates received a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism from Missouri State University in 1998, followed by a Master of Education from Rockhurst University in 2006. She currently teaches Eighth and Ninth Grade English at the Frontier School of Excellence. Previously Ms. Bates has taught Broadcast Journalism and English in the Missouri School Systems, and has served as a news producer for two Kansas City television stations, and as a reporter for KSMU, the NPR affiliate in Springfield, Missouri.
