Ms. Christy Lamb is recognized by the International Academy of Science for her contributions to Acellus® courses in the Grade 7 Language Arts/Reading course and the Basic Language Arts/Reading Concepts for High School course. She is also known for her commitment to reaching underprivileged students, having served with Teach for America, a highly selective national service corps of recent college graduates who commit to teach in under-resourced public schools. Following this service, Ms. Lamb entered the public teaching arena, where she has taught Language Arts and has been actively involved in the training of other teachers in her district. Ms. Lamb earned a Bachelor's degree in Sociology with a minor in Speech Communication from Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri, where she graduated cum laude in only three years. She went on to receive her teaching certificate from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas, followed by a Master of Arts in Education, Curriculum and Instruction with a specialty in Literacy, from Northwest Missouri State University.
