Windows Users Note:
Depending on the browser that you use, you may use either Real Alternative or RealPlayer with Acellus.
*Real Alternative is an excellent program that allows you to use a video player called Media Player Classic to play Real Media files.
When used in Acellus, this product will look and feel like RealPlayer, but when you are installing this product, you will not be asked to register, etc. Real Alternative has not yet released a version that is compatible with IE 8 or later. On systems running IE 7 or earlier, although it has not been tested on all systems, on the systems where it has been tested, it has provided a solid media player solution.
**To use RealPlayer, click on the link above to go to the RealPlayer download page, where you will be given a choice between two players. The "free version" of the player provides all that is required for Acellus. RealPlayer Plus is not required for Acellus.
Although RealPlayer no longer requires registration during the installation process, you will be asked to choose whether you would like RealPlayer to become your default media player for many media file types, as well as other questions. Select your options with care to ensure that your RealPlayer installation reflects your preferences.
You will also need to run RealPlayer once as a standalone program before it will run correctly in Acellus.
