The International Institute of Science and Technology has recently extended its educational programs to include gifted high school students. IIST's Gifted Students Program gives exceptional young students, between the ages of 14 and 18, an opportunity to accelerate their learning as they work on real-world, high-tech projects aimed at making this world a better place. Projects range from helping to develop cutting-edge educational tools, to computer networking, to alternative energy research and development. In this Program, gifted students are engaged in stimulating, hands-on, state-of-the-art, applied science projects. Each student is allowed to excel at their own rate through challenging projects, while at the same time, strengthening their academic skills through Acellus-based courses. Acellus is a state-of-the art computerized delivery system that provides self-paced learning from some of our Nation’s finest teachers. Acellus allows these students to advance from one topic to the next as quickly as they are able to master the concept being presented. The Program for each student is personalized, focused on the interests, needs, and abilities of each individual. Students successfully completing the International Institute of Science and Technology’s Gifted Students Program will be granted a high school diploma and will be able to apply to continue their education at IIST if they choose to do so. Interested students are encouraged to apply by completing the online Gifted Students Application.
